Evens misread a line on the receipt
Every line is editable before the bill goes out. On the review screen, tap any name, price or quantity to fix it, add a missing line with Add an item, or tap the bin to drop one. Nothing is shared until you confirm.
How do shared plates and bottles work?
Tap the badge on an item to split it any number of ways. The first person to split sets the number of shares, and everyone after taps to take theirs. Evens stores the shares as exact fractions, so a bottle split three ways always adds back up to the whole bottle, to the cent.
I claimed the wrong thing
Open the bill, tap the item on your own list and remove it or change how much of it you had. The freed share goes straight back on the table for someone else to take.
Do my friends need the app?
No. The link you share opens in any browser on any phone. No account, nothing to install. The app makes scanning and keeping track of your own bills nicer, but claiming works for everyone either way.
How does the service charge get split?
In proportion to what each person had, not per head. If your share of the food is a fifth of the bill, you carry a fifth of the service.
Can I delete a bill?
Press and hold a bill in your list to take it off your phone. To have the bill and its photo deleted for everyone, email the link to hello@verafyed.com and it will be removed.
